Due to the recent rise in Coronavirus COVID-19 cases across the country, we want to assure you that we take our role as an essential business with all seriousness, therefore we are putting the safety of our customers and employees first. We’re following all best practices and guidelines for sanitation, cleanliness, and precaution as we continue to assist our customers with their moves.

Is Happy Movers still operating in Ontario under the Second Declaration of Provincial Emergency Effective January 14, 2021?
Yes. In accordance with the “Enhancing Public Health and Workplace Safety Measures in the Provincewide Shutdown” documentation updated on Jan 12, 2021 (page 20), moving is listed as a “Business Permitted to Open.”

Although our team ensures a safe on location survey, you may still have concerns and that’s okay. We also provide alternate solutions to getting you the estimate you need without having to come directly to your home.

How can I help to make the move safer for the workers and myself?
Although our team ensures a safe on location survey, you may still have concerns and that’s okay. We also provide alternate solutions to getting you the estimate you need without having to come directly to your home.
- Wear a mask and keep your distance.
- While it is our custom, do not shake hands with the moving crew. A simple “hi” will do.
- Have your own pen handy to sign any documents, although many companies have gone to electronic paperwork.
- If you have more than one washroom, consider designating one washroom for the moving crew to use to wash their hands. Also provide soap and a towel (or paper towel with a plastic bag to put the used paper in). Please disinfect before they arrive and after they have left.
- And, as always, inform the moving crew as soon as possible, if someone in your home is sick, has been exposed to someone who has COVID-19 or has been in quarantine.
